Rapone

In Rapone, we don’t want Time to erase the Memory of ancient tales and magic stories. We will never allow it to happen! That’s why, to make our Fairy Tales live forever, we have created a very special museum… two festivals… a marathon… five sound installations scattered throughout the village… and more...

The Characters from Rapone’s Fairy Tales

Petrosinella, Prezzemolina, Rapunzel, Raperonzolo...

Petrosinella, Prezzemolina, Rapunzel, Raperonzolo… Four different names for the same girl, locked away in a tower. Did you know that this fairy tale was born in Italy over 400 years ago? It was written by a great storyteller, Giambattista Basile, in a collection called Lo cunto de li cunti (The Tale of Tales). In 2021, Rapunzel’s timeless story became a huge mural in Rapone, painted by local artist Violetta Carpino. Watch the video of how the mural was created!
